As a maker of bespoke textiles I am particularly interested in the simplicity of form coupled with the complexity of the texture. To this end I can use many techniques on one piece, including painting fabric, dying fabric, felting, trapunto, quilting and of course, stitch, both by hand and free hand machine embroidery.
I work in my studio which is based in a beautiful grade II listed barn in Charlton on the edge of the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex. Not only is this my studio but also a place where I and my colleagues teach all things textiles.
